TKA and Friends China Trip 2011

C.P.R. and First Aid
Mindy Jaques: Paramedic, American Heart Association instructor and T.K.A student, will be presenting a C.P.R. and First Aid class at our 103'rd st. location. Mindy has over eight years of experience in Emergency Medical Services and has been an instructor for both St. Vincents and the American Heart Association for five years. Both C.P.R. and First Aid are open to anyone age 10 and older. C.P.R. has been proven to save lives and is thus an extremely important skill to learn and maintain. Push Hands, Chin-Na & Applications Seminar
Date & Time: 6-9PM on Friday January 7, 2011 Where: Jacksonvill Center (103rd Street) Cost: $45 for students, $60 for non-students (friends & family) During the seminar we will be practicing various Taiji push hands exercises. The push hands exercise is designed to build whole body awareness, develop your rooting skill, help you locate your partners center of mass and much more. You will also be learning various White Crane Chin-Na techniques and practicing the practical applications of what you learn in your regular classes. No need experience. Bagua Workshops
with Sifu Joel Timmons Date & Time: 6-8PM on Firday Oct 22, 29, Nov 5, 19, 26 & Dec 3, 2010 The month of October is going to kick off an amazing 6 weeks. For 6 weeks starting on Oct. 22'nd Sifu Joel Timmons will be teaching Fu style Bagua, a style taught to him by the renowned Sifu Nick Gracenin. Sifu Timmons is a highly respected and experienced teacher. He is also a Gold Medalist many times over and has been U.S. all around champion at the U.S. Chinese Martial Arts Nationals in Houston. Bagua zhang, which means " Eight Trigram Palm", is considered an internal style, like Taiji and Xing Yi, and is characterized by its circular stepping and "smooth" coiling/uncoiling motions. The workshop will consist of Six, 2 hour classes from 6 -8 PM spread out over six weeks. The entire work shop is only: $180.00 w/ 10% for students $35.00 for individual classes * Student discount does not apply to individual classes. |
